You can try to follow the directions in this link EXACTLY, but if the iPad requires an Apple ID and Password that you do not know or have, return the iPad for full refund as it was clearly not prepared properly for a new user.

Without the original owner’s Apple ID and password to unlock the device to reset it to a default, factory state, there is no way you will ever get that iPad to work.

Apple will not help to defeat Activation Lock, either.

If you cannot get help from the person who sold you this device, try and return this iPad and attempt to get your money back as, currently, you have a useless electronic paperweight.

Next time purchase a new or refurbished iPad from Apple or purchase a new iPad from an Apple authorised reseller, or if you insist on purchasing used Apple mobile devices, do a search for a reputable Apple product reseller that sell older Apple products that are known to be “clean” and Activation Lock free.

If this can't be done, you'll NEVER be able to use this device.

It's indicating your iPad is Activation Locked to someones Apple ID. If you don't know this person or can't reach them, you can't use the iPad and Apple will NOT bypass activation lock for ANYONE other than the person who put the lock there and can prove by receipt they are the original owner of the iPad.

The screen shot she sent you is worthless. She must remove the device from iCloud and the device needs to be reset back to factory for you to use it. If she can't do that, again, it's worthless to you.

That device is on activation lock. It is likely the seller's email address or a stolen device. If you can't get the owner of that email address to remove activation lock, the device is useless.

Interesting. You edited out the information showing the iPad is activation locked. Why did you do that? It's ACTIVATION LOCKED. You can't get past that. And the screen shot you showed she sent you, means absolutely nothing. Either she removes the device from the cloud per the link posted above or you need to give up on using this device. And Apple isn't going to remove the device from iCloud. You don't know the Apple ID or Password. So they won't remove it at all.

One dot does not represent one character. It's just a random mask regardless of how long/short your email address is. It's less secure if it precisely tells you the length of the email address. Live.co.uk sounds correct.

If the seller still wants to work with you (instead of ignoring you entirely), give them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps they forgot their Apple ID or the password. Can you ask the seller to visit icloud.com, sign in and reset the device from their end? If the password to sign into icloud.com is incorrect, let them figure out how to reset the password. If nothing works, ask for a refund.

Assuming that the seller is the real owner, he/she can erase the iPad from any device by signing in to icloud.com with a web browser.

Unless you can obtain the Apple ID and password of the original owner of this iPad, this iPad is totally useless to you.

You will never, ever get this iPad working for you.

Activation Lock is an anti-theft/data privacy feature. It cannot be circumvented.

Its a British email. It likely belongs to the person who sold you the iPad. You will need to contact them so they can remove it from their account.

Activation lock cannot be bypassed. You will require the password for that Apple ID or for the owner of that Apple ID to remove it from heir account.

If you have not done so, try it a few more times. If iTunes is unable to restore it after a few tries, then it very likely has a hardware issue, that cannot be resolved.

I would return it to the seller, for a refund.

Otherwise, a trip to an Apple Store, or Authorized Service Provider would be required.
