MacBookPro can't get IP address from a Secured Wi-Fi router DHCP

My MacBook works well from 2014 until Nov, 2018.

One night no power off and can't connect to the Wi-Fi.

IP address as 169.254.X.X; this is not a correct one. no mater with the Router DHCP or Manual setting IP.

But it can connect to unsecured Wi-Fi, so I set a Guest channel for this topic posting.

I tried as bellow:

Reinstall Mac OS, no effect
Reset NVRAM, no effect
Delete the Wi-Fi configuration and all the location, no effect.
Hard Reset the Wi-Fi router, MacBookPro can connect to the unsecured Wi-Fi, setting the router and add password, it can work ok for about 1 day, next time boot the MacBook, it still can't connect.

is this a common problem for MacBookPro when used more than 3 years?

Your WiFi router is working correctly? Is it working normal with other devices like iPhone or other Mac or PC?

You are already using the AES algorithm.

I would say your router is broken so try to reset it to Factory settings, or get a new one.

this is helpful, thanks! there is an exclamation point in the Wi-Fi icon. and the IP is "169.254.*.*"

But I tried to enter the password by the format as"***" ; $*** and 0x***; it still can't work.

even I used my iPhone personal hotspot, this MacBook still can't get the correct IP; when I use the iPhone personal hotspot no need entering the password.

I had confirmed that In “Opation” menue the secured Wi-Fi also can’t get correct IP.

and I SHOULD DECLARE that Secured Wi-Fi can’t work issue happened after my downloading the China CCTV video Clint App.

You need to read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Link-local_address

This is the way all networked devices using DHCP work. It has nothing to do with Microsoft. Macs do the same thing.

I did not respond to the original poster. I responded to you and your not understanding of DHCP and the self-assignment of 169.254.x.x then attributing the issue to Microsoft.

It appears Windows is using its own terminology, that does not correlate well with common understanding expressed in Wikipedia articles.

So step 1 would be to figure out what is the meaning of the phrase, "Enable FIPS Standards compliance for this Network."

I configured my Router as don't broadcast the SSID， as your suggestion change to broadcast the SSID then reboot MacBook and reboot router, it still can't use the secured Wi-Fi DHCP service.
