My ipod classic can't create genius playlists anymore. We recently installed a new version of Microsoft Home Office with Windows 10 and I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I can still connect to itunes and have genius enabled and I can still use all the other itunes functions.

I would doubt that there is a connection. You can try turning Genius off, sync the iPod, then turn Genius back on and sync once more to see if that fixes it. Failing that you may need to restore the device.

Turning Genius on & off with syncing didn't work but restoring the ipod did so thank you for your asisstance.
