The apple calendar on my iPhone XS with ios12 freezes whenever I open it. It is almost like it pauses for 30 seconds and then will work. But extremely annoying. I’ve temporarily switched to google calendar syncing with my iCloud calendars but rant to switch back.
Any ideas on how to stop the freeze/pausing?

Just as an update. The deletion and re-adding the calendar app only worked for a little while. The calendar app continues to freeze and crash when trying to use. It is very frustrating. I’ve switched to google calendar reading my apple calenders but would really like to use the native apple calendar.
Is there any risk in deleting the calendar app and re-installing it?
