I was wondering If it was possible to connect a mouse to an iPad (iOS 12) without jail breaking the iPad. I am aware this topic has been discussed previously but mixed results came back with some saying it worked with no jailbreak some said it was a con. Thus has led myself to ask the community and if it is possible please give me a method.

For example, my wife has ALS and can,t use her hands but she can use a head mouse. So, in this case, what it could would be make it possible to use an iPad.
Correct. So the proper choice for her would be a MacBook rather then an iPad.
Since she can't use her hands, a stylus isn't an option.

Buy Apple Pencil or a capacitive stylus and she can use the stylus to tap things on the screen. It's sort of kind of like a mouse, but in pencil form.
