Recently switched phones and all my photos didn’t transfer to my new phone . The phone was backed up before the switch are the missing photos gone forever ??

Recently switched phones and I now have gaps of missing pictures will they eventually show back up? It was backed up to iCloud before the switch

Photos from old phone backup missing I have realised suddenly that all my old iphone6s backed up photos are missing from both iCloud and iPhone11. I have factory reset my iphone6s and gave it away, last month i was able to view all the photos and this month it is nowhere to be found. I was able to view my6s photos on my iPhone11 before. Help.

If you use icloud photo library Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support it's not part of the icloud backup What does iCloud back up? - Apple Support
