Location data services with Hulu Live TV

I recently upgraded my Hulu service to include the live TV version. I can view everything with no problem from my iPhone and laptop. But can't view on my iPad Air 2. I can download the app but when I try to watch anything I get a notice: Location data not found. We're not able to confirm your location. Hulu needs location data services to be enabled while using the app. Please check your device's settings and try again. Error code: BYA-400-007.

I have my location services on, and enabled location services for the Hulu app. I've reinstalled the app, hard closed my iPad, reset all the settings, to no avail. I chatted with Hulu and they went through all of these processes as well with no answers.

I'm stumped! Surely I can't be the only one? Thanks!

I went into privacy, location services, system services and turned everything there on and Hulu started playing again. Good luck!

I’m having the same issue but only when not using the home WiFi network I originally used when I signed up with Hulu

At home everything loads and plays as normal but when using other WiFi networks (both private and public) I get the error message BYA 400-007

I previously was able to watch anywhere but now only within home WiFi network

Home network guidelines

A Hulu + Live TV subscription is intended for single-household use only. Because these subscriptions can’t be shared, Hulu cannot be accessed on most living room devices (like your smart TV) outside of your chosen Home network. Please send our regards to your old college roommate, your ex-boyfriend, and your Mom.

On the flipside, when you’re out and about you can stream from your phone — on up to two screens at a time, with the ability to add more with the Unlimited Screens Add-on — while located anywhere in the US.

If you're a frequent traveler, make sure to use Hulu on your mobile device at least once every 30 days while connected to your Home network to avoid any interruption in service.
