I’m receiving voicemail several hours after missed calls

I missed several calls today and checked for voicemail after each one. There was no notification for voicemail, just the missed calls. 6 hours later I received 5 voicemails, all corresponding with the previous missed calls.

Contact Verizon, voice mail is under their purview and there may be a problem with either the provisioning for your iPhone or your account on their server. I don't know of any cell providers that are pro anything except making money. And if I was with a provider that had that happening for years I would have changed providers by now. This is certainly not normal with Verizon.

Did they send you a network extender or a Microcell? If you have poor coverage at your house it is probably a microcell. They can fail and will cause problems with cell data and sometimes voice. I've only experienced this with an AT&T model a friend had, no experience with Verizon. Did your voicemail previously work as expected with this device?

Did you have an active cellular data connection during all that time? If, for some reason, you didn't, that would explain what happened.

What I’m getting at, is that Verizon used the word “PRO” and I think they are referring to the prefix “pro”; not the abbreviation of “professional”. But I’m uncertain.

Regardless to vocabulary, Verizon told me to ask Apple about this same issue, being that it is a faulty iPhone. It is, after all, more than half-a-decade old iPhone.

But, dialing star-eight-six, is my only way around this. Getting up, there’s two a red-encircled “2” above, about five days ago.

Could it be a faulty Apple iPhone?

I'm aware of what "pro" means and did not think you meant professional. What was the name of this senior executive at Verizon that told you this. If it was a first line tech support person then it is just another item of fake news that you propagated, and you weren't even sure about it.

I know many people with Verizon phones of all kinds and none of them have hours late voice mails. If everyone on Verizon with an iPhone had this issue it would have made the news long ago. So when you made a Genius Bar appointment with Apple what did they say when they tested your iPhone? And which model do you actually have?
