Verification Failed, This action could not be completed.

I'm facing this error when I tried to sign in my Apple ID in my iMac. I had tried all the options below:

Change Permissions on the Shared Folder (using 3 commands in Terminal)
Tried login using a newly created Apple ID (both new & old Apple ID can login https://www.icloud.com/ without problem)
Contact Apple support and followed all the instructions but still the same error (case number: *****)
At last I tried reinstalling Mac OS, but still the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?
