recording live piano with garageband

I am trying to record live piano with garageband. Are there any PIANO presets/patches for 'Audio Tracks'? I see vocal, guitar, and drum patches/presets for 'Audio Tracks' - but no PIANO presets/patches? Does anyone know how I can download PIANO patches/presets/plugins for 'AUDIO TRACKS' in garageband?

the ACOUSTIC PIANO is a notoriously difficult instrument to RECORD. far more important then any PRESET is getting a good recording, because no effect setting is going to FIX a lousy recording; remember all that the library PRESETS do is add some effects like COMPRESSION, or CHORUS, etc.

that said the main effects one might use to enhance a PIANO recording are probably compression and EQ, both of which do offer starting points for PIANO RECORDINGS:

Presets can be very useful to get a quick, rough configuration for how you want your track to sound, but even those would require further editing. You're better off making sure you have quality equipment to use and, as the reply above mentioned, work with effects and post recording editing. EQ is a must to clean up some undesirable tones, compression is good if you need to pull a certain part or track out and make it louder. Depending on the room you can look at adding slight reverb or possibly very little delay or echo to help add an extra dimension to the track overall. However, make sure you have a good quality recording and start playing with basic effects. Find what sounds good to you. That will be much more beneficial in the future as it'll give you an idea as to what each effect can do. That will allow you to know how to do the required editing in the future without having to rely on presets for sound quality.
