temperature widget stopped working

The temperature widgets have just stopped working. I just updated to iTunes 12.8.2.3. What that the cause? I use these widgets constantly when planning my frequent travel schedules and I like them all in one page as there were on the dashboard.

The translator Systran translator widget stopped working 6 months ago and is the only translator available in the AppStore. The others showed don't function or are unavailable!

So now I have to search for a translator to check a work in one of the 5 languages I most frequently use and it looks like I will also have to search manually for 10 cities in Underground Weather. This has a tremendous impact on my productivity.

This is a step in the wrong direction as I see no EASY solutions. Apple please!!!

Here is a free, 4-star rated weather app (Mac App Store) for OS X 10.10 and later, that supports international weather, and multiple locations. The vendor refers to it as a widget in its name, but it is not for the Dash board. It conveniently hides in the menu extras section of the menu bar.

If you use the search term: language translator in the Mac App Store, you will retrieve multiple pages of tools. Change the Sort By: to Customer Rating, and it narrows the selection. Linguist (fee) looks interesting because it is a phrase translator, remembers translations, works across applications, and is Mojave ready. Your mileage may vary.

You can try to find replacement widgets at this link.

Systran has been in the translation game for a very long while, so they may be at, or near the top of the quality translator availability. Can you cost recover that $200 over reasonable timeframe, thus justifying the initial expense for the translation accuracy?

Several that posted that their Dashboard Weather Widget has ceased working, have discovered that it now works again without intervention. Perhaps it now works for you.

Weather app

Thanks, the looks interesting but appear to only offer one location at a time. I wanted to send my thanks quickly, so I have not yet investigated further.

Linguist

A very small fee indeed to what I meanwhile discovered on the Systran website. Systran in fact now offer a paid translator, which I believe would have cost me >$200 for the 5 most common European languages I require.

'Linguist' looks interesting, but the pronunciation is appalling in the initial tests I did in French, German, Spanish & Portuguese. It sounds like machine pronunciation over-layed with an English accent. Schoolboy level at the most however.

Thanks again
