MacBook Pro built-in camera not working

My MacBook built-in camera has not been working. I have tested it on Facetime, Photobooth, and other software like Skype or Zoom. When I click Facetime, the image stays black while the green light will turn on after a few seconds it turns off.

I have tried typing in terminal: sudo killall VDCAssistant, and nothing changes. I have also logged in on other accounts and it doesn't work on those either. I have also updated my laptop and nothing changes. There is no reason my camera should be damaged so I am confused as to why it is like this.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I went to the System Information on my Mac and under > Hardware > Camera > it says: FaceTime HD Camera:

Model ID: UVC Camera VendorID_1452 ProductID_34304

Unique ID: 0x1420000005ac8600

I'm not sure if this means my Mac recognizes the built in camera as working or not.
