Copying over the question...

The $cfg['TempDir'] (./tmp/) is not accessible. phpMyAdmin is not able to cache templates and will be slow because of this.”

“I am using XAMPP and one day I was on PhpMyAdmin and saw this error message:

The $cfg['TempDir'] (./tmp/) is not accessible. phpMyAdmin is not able to cache templates and will be slow because of this.

I know you have to add a folder except the folder called PhpMyAdmin in LAMPP won't let me add folders. When I tried to change the permission settings in "Get Info" It just changed itself back to "Read only" instead of "Read and Write".

I am really frustrated with this and I will appreciate any help.

PS. I am using a Mac.”

Ask the myphpadmin folks?

Based solely on that myphpadmin thread, it would appear there’s an update to myphpadmin. And some discussions around the options and work-arounds and trade-offs for that.

If you’re running a version of macOS prior to Mojave and Server.app prior to 5.7.1, you could install myphpadmin directly. (Server.app 5.7.1 and later are an MDM package, and not a web server.) More generally, caching diagnostics from myphpadmin on XAMPP are also somewhat far removed from the usual fodder macOS Server. This probably isn’t the best spot for this question.
