Apple Watch Pauses During Workout
Hello. I've experienced frequent and unacceptable Apple Watch (Series 3) pauses during workouts. This has occurred using the native Apple workout app under the Outdoor Run and HIIT settings. I have turned AutoPause OFF, when using the Outdoor Run setting, have swiped right to lock the screen (by touching the water droplet icon) have worn my watch tighter to ensure that the HR sensor is consistently in contact with my wrist to avoid HR measurement dropout, have worn the watch higher up on my wrist as well as flipped on the the opposite wrist with the bezel and dock button facing away from my hand, and last, have worn it on the inside of my wrist all in efforts to potentially stop workout gloves from depressing both buttons simultaneously and potentially pausing the workout. NONE OF THESE STEPS HAS WORKED. I am most successful in tracking an outside run. However, I do outdoor HIIT workouts, year round, roughly 2-4 days/week and wear gloves (we use Kettle bells, sandbags, rocks, etc.) and my 45-60 minute workouts pause, on average, 1-5 X per workout. MANY apple watch owners have shared their similar frustrations without solution. APPLE, WILL YOU VERY SOON PLEASE ALLOW USERS TO DISABLE THE WATCH PAUSE FUNCTION WHEN BOTH SIDE BUTTONS ARE PRESSED SIMULTANEOUSLY? This doesn't seem like a useful feature that many users would miss anyway.
