Pictures

When I go to change the desktop, I see a pictures folder, but I can't see said folder in FInder. I force quit Finder and opened a new window, but to no avail, I couldn't see it.

Try using the Finder's Go menu > Home, and open the Pictures folder from there.

Desktop keeps disappearing from sidebar This is a constant annoyance. I keep having the Desktop folder disappear from the sidebar in Finder and the file dialogue. I have added it in Finder preferences and by dragging the folder to the sidebar. But after a few days it's gone. The presences have been changed to show the folder is not selected, but I know nobody changed it. I am the only person who uses this computer. How do I get the Desktop folder to stay in the sidebar?

why did a desktop folder disappear from my imac? I had a folder containing photographs on the desktop of my iMac. I opened it today and the folder was gone. But when I looked on the desktop of my Macbook Air, the folder was there. How did this happen, how do I get it back onto the desktop, and how can I keep this from happening again? Thanks for any information or advice out there!
