imovie help

can anyone tell me - when putting pictures in imovie - when you play it they zoom in and out. How can you change the setting so the picture stays still in the movie.

Before creating a project, in the menu bar at the top of your screen click on iMovie/Preferences and, in the dialogue box that appears, set the Photo Placement to the "Fit" setting. You currently have it set to "Ken Burns", and that is what is causing the zooming in and out. The clips in all of your projects created after you change the setting will be stationary without the Ken Burns effect.

To remove the Ken Burns effect in projects already created, select the clips with the Ken Burns effect on them, and then click on the crop button (the one that looks like intersecting angles) in the tool bar at the top right of your screen. Change the setting from Ken Burns to Fit.
