iPad Mini 4 frame rate lower after 50% battery

I was playing my game “Grand Theft Auto San Andreas” and I noticed that the frame rate of the game is very choppy when the battery is below 50%. But when I play the game when the battery is above 50%, the game is buttery smooth. Could this be Apple trying to lower the frame rate to save battery life? I’ve had this question for the last week.

Hey, Bubbaboo27.

I see that you've noticed a slower response when playing a game on your iPad. Once the battery percentage drops below 50% your game stops running smoothly. You're wondering if this is a method of saving the battery life of your iPad, and I'm happy to help.
