Watch does not wake on wrist raise
Nothing would fix this until I unpaired my watch from my phone and then paired it again. Voila.

The most frequent cause for wrist raise failing is accidentally activating Theater mode. If it happens again check Control Center first, it’s easier than re-pairing.
