Erased my Mac from Find my IPhone, now I can’t turn it back on and erase all settings from there

I am giving back my Mac mini to apple and getting new one from them. but I made a mistake and erase my Mac from Find my IPhone instead of do what normally Should do(((((( now I can’t turn it back on and erase all settings and contents from there. When I turn on I have a round symbol with crossing line at 45 degrees thru, I got email from them that it’s going take few hours, but before I already tried shut it off and turn back on... no idea what to do now, cause I can’t send it like that back to apple with all my stuff

That sign means that there is no macOS installed on the Mini.

To reinstall follow the steps of the following and boot to recovery, format the disk, reinstall mac OS

How to erase a disk for Mac - Apple Support

but do not complete the macOS setup. See step 6 of

What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support

Erase your hard drive and reinstall macOS

The best way to restore your Mac to factory settings is to erase your hard drive and reinstall macOS

After macOS installation is complete, the Mac restarts to a Welcome screen and asks you to choose a country or region. If you want to leave the Mac in an out-of-box state, don't continue with the setup of your system. Instead, press Command-Q to shut down the Mac. When the new owner turns on the Mac, setup assistant will guide them through the setup process.
