App Store updates and purchases not working on macOS Mojave 10.14.3

Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble using the App Store on my mac.

I have replaced my old mac about 2 weeks ago and used the mac migration assistance to do so.

Since then a lot of issues appeared..

At first I couldn't logged in the App Store due to some error 500. After relogin the ICloud and doing reset to the NVRAM, I was automatically logged in the App Store.

Now, When I try installing an app, I have "Get" and "Install" and the app downloads just fine, but it's not finishes the installation, it's just spinning forever and doesn't registered as installed.

I found 2 errors while trying to install -

  • Failed to acquire task assertion
  • Failed to fetch GUID schemes from bag

Any ideas?

Copy the following line:

defaults delete com.apple.appstore.commerce Storefront

Then:

  1. Quit Safari and all other open apps, including the App Store.
  2. Open the Terminal app. It is in your Mac's Utilities folder. To find Terminal use Spotlight or select Utilities from the Finder's Go menu.
  3. Paste that line in the Terminal window, and press Return.
  4. Restart your Mac.

See if that fixes it.
