Safari zoom issue
I had opened a web page using Safari and changed the mode of view to landscape by rotating the phone horizontally and then rotated back vertically, then the web page is remains zoomed in.

If you spread your hand, then with your thumb and one finger on the screen, bring the 2 together, does it zoom out again?
Restart your iPhone. Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Try Apple Support.
Work through the screens to get an email or chat option.
I figured out the problem when this is coming up. If we open Safari first time and not zoomed out which is really not zoomed in, then looks good if you tilt the screen. Whenever we zoom out even though it is not zoomed in, then the problem started on the page.
Even though it is not zoomed in, and I do zoom out, Problem should not arise. So this is an issue I believe.
I did the same in my colleague's mobile which is a same XS Max, and same problem.
When zoom out even though page is not zoom in, and rotate the phone horizontally and back to vertical, page is zoomed out. So Factory Reset may not be a solution I guess.
Tried the same in Browser (Edge) and seems this issue is not there in this browser. So seems to be an issue only in Browser (Safari).
I can't think of anything else to suggest other than trying a factory reset of the phone. I can't replicate your problem.
Yes, even if you don't spread your hand, and just do a thumb and one finger one the screen bring 2 together which is actually not required if you don't zoom out, it will happen.
Or if you do both Zoom out and zoom in, it will happen.
After restarting my iPhone, I did same and seems ok for 2 to 3 times and then again problem started then onwards.
I did and issue still persists.
Hi Eric,
Any idea on this ? Does this problem considered as an issue or it is a functionality and no solution for this problem ?
So is this a fix or are you still having problems?
basically it should not zoom in, if you rotate back vertically. So seems this is a problem am trying to say.
Is this issue going to be addressed or I should consider this as closed ?
