Mail not fetching over mobile data

Hi,

i’m not getting email notifications unless on wifi, however my mail and fetch settings I believe are set to receive notifications over mobile data.

How can I enable for gmail emails to fetch automatically over mobile data too?

what is interesting is that at the bottom of the first screenshot it clearly states that it is not syncing over mobile data.

many thanks

You need to understand the difference between Push & Fetch

Push requires more power and may have an effect on battery life. Notes: Fetch New Data is a feature that allows the user to select how often the device checks for new data. Push is a feature that's only available with certain accounts that automatically push data to the device.

Push: The mails will keep pouring in irrespective of whether your mail app is open or closed (Notification will indicate no. of email)

Fetch: All emails will only get downloaded only when you open the App and the email account or based on you schedule. (Notifications will depend upon your settings)

You have enabled fetch in all emails.

To enable fetch or push over mobile data, enable it

  • Settings > Mail > Mobile Data
