Why was my stolen iphone disappeared from "Find My iPhone" page?

My iPhone has been stolen since last week, I looked for its location on Find my iPhone, but 2 days ago Apple sent me a message declaring someone turned on my iphone attaching its location, but I couldn't access the location it wasn't accessible, and afterward the picture of my iphone didn't exist on Find my iPhone page. I don't know the reason. What happened?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 9

It disappeared because Apple did NOT send you a notification indicating it had been located. The thief did. It was a phishing message that enticed you to give up your iCloud credentials to the thief on a bogus login screen.

You need to change your iCloud password IMMEDIATELY.
