Hide sender's name in lock screen

I will give an example on Whatsapp.

I am enabling the Preview feature in both Settings of iPhone and Whatsapp application. On the lock screen, I was getting the message, with no name of the sender and no content of the message, unless I unlock the phone, and it was great.

Suddenly, without changing any settings, on the lock screen I get the notification, Displaying the sender of the message, and hiding the content of the message.

I have seen this problem in many topics here, but the answers are random and people do not get the problem, they advise to turn off Preview feature.

Hello saeed.ayman,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If I understand your post correctly, you're seeing notifications on your Lock screen that show only the sender of the message. Is that correct?

Is this only happening with WhatsApp?

Did this happen after updating either your iOS software or WhatsApp?

It sounds like you may want to double-check your Notifications settings for WhatsApp to ensure they're still set as you had them previously. Which "Alerts" style is selected? Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

I hope this helps get you started.

Cheers.

Hi saeed.ayman,

Thanks for the follow-up. You mentioned you double-checked your Notifications settings; which option do you have selected under Settings > Notifications > WhatsApp? Does it make a difference in you try different styles? Also, what option do you have for "Show Previews" under Settings > Notifications?

Which iOS version are you running under Settings > General > About? Also, do you have any updates for WhatsApp under App Store > Updates?

Kind regards.

Hello Joseph,

No, this is not what I mean.

I mean, I suddenly begin to see the sender name of the message (without the body of the message), although previously the sender name was not being shown (the word "notification" was displayed instead).

This is shown in the lock screen.

I have already checked the notifications settings in both whatsapp application and iPhone settings.
