Pie chart percentage display problem

Pie charts do not display the correct relationship of percentages. In the example below, the spreadsheet calculates 28% of 100,000 as 28,000. The pie chart displays 28% as significantly smaller than 25% of the whole pie.


Is there a way to get the graphic to present the correct relationship of between these values?

Hi Frank,


The 'whole pie' represents the 'whole pile' of $$$, all 128,000 of them. 28,000 is 21.875% of that total.


If 100,000 is the total income, and 28,000 is the portion of that 100,000 that is paid to the tax man, then your data and pie chart should look like this:
