Where are Photo Booth files?

I give up. I tried to uninstall Photo Booth (with an app uninstaller) since I will NEVER use it and unlike Garage Band, there is absolutely no other app on my Mac that needs it. But obviously, Apple thinks Photo Booth is critical to my workflow anyway and won't let me uninstall it.

So, where do the following associated folders/file go that were put in Trash with the uninstall app? If I can't uninstall it, I might as well keep it intact.

MacBook Pro 13”, macOS 10.14

Are those folders still in the Trash Bin? If so have you tried Control (right) - clicking on them and selecting "Put Back" from the contextual menu?

PhotoBoot is an integral party of the system and other apps. If you ever want to add a digital signature to a PDF file then PhotoBooth is very necessary. If you do any FaceTime calls with your MBP PhotoBooth is necessary.

Is there a way to re-install Photo Booth?

There is no stand alone PhotoBooth.app

You would reinstall it from Recovery (command R) on reboot and from the Utilities menu you would re-install the macOS on top of your existing macOS—thus restoring the the PhotoBooth and associated files in their correct location.

I'm not sure where those com.apple....photobooth folders go. The com.apple.photobooth.plist file most likely came from the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. The folders may also have come from there but I'm not sure. I haven't used Photo Booth so the only item I find in my Preferences folder is the .plist file. If there isn't anything you need in those folders then I would go ahead and trash them and the .plist file.

Photo Booth isn't needed for FaceTime. I use FaceTime quite a bit without any need for Photo Booth. I'm guessing you don't actually need any of those items.

If you used an app uninstaller you might see if it doesn't provide a reverse option for cases where you selected the wrong app or changed your mind prior to Emptying the Trash. My uninstaller will our all deleted items into a separate folder you can save or remove from the Trash.

Kappy, at this point I would just like to put the Photo Booth folders and one file (the ones shown in the screenshot above) back wherever they belong. When they were in Trash they did NOT have the usual "Put Back" option from the right-click contextual menu, so I don't know where they belong.

If no one here knows where they belong, I'll look at a friend's Mac and figure it out that way. Thanks.

Actually, I hadn't ever used Photo Booth either as this is a brand new MacBook Pro. The other reason I wanted to just put them back where they were is because I can't remove Photo Book from my /Applications folder. The app uninstaller removed all these associated files, but it didn't remove the app itself.

Also, though I don't use FaceTime now I may want to in the future, so if Photo Booth is necessary for FaceTime I suppose I should keep it.

Thanks, LeRoy! I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that but I did it and Photo Booth is working again, along with FaceTime. There has to to be something different in Mojave than previous versions of macOS. In years past I've always removed Garage Band, iMovie and Photo Booth and never run into any problems. I didn't remove it with Sierra or High Sierra because I had a different MBP with a huge SSD, but this latest one I bought I went with the 256 GB because everything I have is in the cloud anyway. So I just thought I'd get rid of the nearly 5 GB those three apps take up. It's sad Apple makes us keep them when unless you're totally into creating music, <25 years old, or take 500 pics of yourself daily....they're pretty useless apps.

I see several other threads here that condone the removal of at least Garage Band (with some cautionary words)...I still may do that. Thanks again!
