accountsd wants permission to use login keychain CONSTANTLY

every 5 minutes or so I get a nag screen "accountsd wants permission to use login keychain" . i put in my password, back it pops up, two or three times, then goes away for 5 minutes. Keychain issues seem to have started after the last OSX update. went through support call, nuked my keychain, created a new one so I know the password is correct and the same as my login. any thoughts out there?
