New MacBook Pro Scratch-chipped right out of the box/Manufacturing Defect

Hello,

Yesterday I got a new MacBook Pro 15 inch in silver. I opened it in the store and right out of the box it had a black spot on the front on the aluminum body, presumably with a sharpe. After the guy working there wiped it off with some chemicals, it almost went away and I did not think anything of it. He told me don't worry about it, it is just a mark with a sharpie. Today I looked at it and it looks like a deep scratch, where the aluminum in the scratch is darker and deeper than the rest of the body. it's small, but I'm worried that it could spread like I've seen on other posts, even worse, I'm worried it is a problem with the aluminum discoloration that can escalate with time. did anyone experience anything similar to this? will it spread? is it a problem with the aluminum on this batch of MacBooks that I have? or is it just a scratch from a factory worker that won't do any further harm? I need to know, before contacting the certified reseller, because it can be tricky dealing with them sometimes if you don't know exactly what the problem is.

the warranty is valid till 3rd of march 2020

the store I bought it in is in Jordan

thanks

Ahmad,

MacBook Pro 15”, macOS 10.14
