smart rg sr350n modem/router
can get new one for $24 on eBay vs $90 at Earthlink which claims that I need to buy theirs for proper setup...is that true? -saw many self-help sources online for config.
Apple do not make modems.. and we have no experience with particular modems of which there must be many thousands around the world.. Your post would need to be viewed and answered by a person who has direct experience using earthlink with the ebay version of that modem router.. therefore the chances of getting a reply is low.. I have posted on here for several years and never seen a question about earthlink modem.. with no relation to Apple products at all.
Post on a forum that discusses that particular modem router and perhaps someone can give you the settings for use with earthlink.. Otherwise my advice is buy one from Earthlink and one from eBay.. copy the settings from one to the other and see if it works. if so sell off the earthlink one.. otherwise sell off the ebay one. ie trial and error.
