Safari - video shaking/choppy when display in full screen.

I bought 15" Macbook pro 2018 a few day.

I found some video or live shaking/choppy in safari, only in full screen.

Anyone has the same problem?

Please give me an advice.

Thank you.

Had this problem too and finally found the solution. Some MacBook Pro’s have dual graphics cards. Mac OS switches between them depending on what kind of work you are doing, and by switching cards it saves batteries. By turning this feature off the glitching stopped. go to 'System Settings' and select 'Energy Savings'. There you’ll find the checkbox, “Automatic Graphics Switching”, which is turned on by default. Uncheck the tickbox and the flickering stops.

Thank you for your reply.

I consult with Apply support yesterday.

I tried these things as you mention... safe mode, new admin user, ... etc.

However, today I notice that flicker video incur when using Safari only (my version: 12.0.3)

[macOS Mojave 10.14.3]

I download Chrome to test the same video in full screen, found no issue about flickering.

Chrome running smooth.

If you want to try some troubleshooting before calling Apple Support, try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

Safe Mode - About

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.
