How to train the iphone email app to suggest the right folder to move emails there from same sender/inbox

i use this feature to move emails from the same sender to a specific folder. For example i get notified from my credit card whenever there is a charge so in 2017 i moved those email to a folder named "expenses-2017" and in 2018 i moved them to a folder named "expenses-2018" and this year of course moving them to "expenses-2019". on an iphone 8, in 2017 it took almost from Jan to Oct to train the system to suggest the proper folder when you hit the folder/move icon. In 2018 it took until almost December 2018. And in 2019 for a few weeks in January it learned to suggest "expenses-2019" but then it went back to "expenses-2018". I get these emails 8-9 times a week so it shoud be reasonably trained by now. How do you reset or retrain this? the online search yield minimal information. Currently iphone 8, iOS 12.1.4... Help please

@Lawrence - that has not worked for a long time. I want to change its idea and it resists Lol.

Spent 20-30 mins with various levels of Apple support - final contact was when they called on the iphone and setup screen sharing and i showed them the issue. They want back to contact higher levels of tech support and app support and the response was currently there is no way to set or reset that (currently means March 6, 2019 or msg timestamp :-). She did suggest that I delete and re-add the mail account and that may reset the learning. I did so and proceeded to move a few messages to my intended target folder. As of 11 messages been moved, it does not show any suggestions. If and when it "learns" I will share back here.
