Dell 24" USB-C Monitor - P2419HC

Hello,

I'm desperately trying to find a proper USB-C Monitor for my MacBook Pro with T/B 2018 13".

I read somewhere that this monitor might not charge the MacBook while it's being used, one user complained about a buzzing noise and only got the monitor to work when connected to the Apple USB-C charger as well.

I would like to power my MacBook through the monitor without the need for an additional charger, as I am traveling a lot and when I get home, just want to plug-and-play, don't want to struggle with connecting every single accessory through a hub and power etc.

Can anyone confirm if this model, or the 27" model would work in a way that I don't need another source of power to the MacBook?

I was looking at the LG 4K version, unfortunately we don't have any stock and it's a bit small for software development...

I hope I have provided enough info to get a clear response, if not, ask, and you shall receive(more detail)

Also, any other suggestions for good monitors would help a lot.

I'm typically looking for an HDR 4K IPS screen with USB-C functionality, again, needs to at least charge and serve as a hub for other USB receivers/devices.

Thank you very much

So I bought the 24" version and it works perfect, everything you would expect from a USB-C monitor connection.

USB-C works as expected.

Power output is 65W from monitor.

Provides extra display while charging with included Dell USB-C cable.

USB 3.0 Hub copies fast.

USB 2.0 Hub works.

One thing that is strange is the fact that the battery percentage says 100% when logged into macOS Mojave 10.14.3.

While on the lock screen it show's the correct percentage.

I picked this up when I looked at the Power stats. Battery is charging with still a while to go to fully charged.

Fully charged indicator also so states no, so maybe an OS bug.

Only problem was the screen's LED's looked like the got damaged while transporting so will be exchanging this unit.
