Connecting my 2018 MBP to an external monitor
I have a new MBP w/ USB-c connections. I am purchasing an external monitor and there are 2 models each with different input options.
- HDMI and Displayport
- HDMI, Displayport and Thunderbolt 2.0
The model that includes a Thunderbolt 2.0 input is more expensive. I'm thinking I can just get a USB-c to HDMI connector and won't need the model with Thunderbolt. Is that correct? (I'm not using the monitor for gaming if that makes a difference.)
