No sound from digital piano when recording in Logic - works fine in Garageband

I have a Roland Fp 30 that works perfectly together with Garageband. However in Logic I can't get it working. I do the following:

  1. Start new project.
  2. Add Software Instrument (External instrument - stereo) and clicks Create
  3. Play the piano, however the audio metre does not react and nothing is recorded.

Settings in preferences are: core audio enabled, output device Scarlett 2i2 USD, input device: System setting (alternatives are Scarlett and microphone), I/O Buffer Size: 128

Advice welcome! //Henrik

That is correct Ian,

I use a new audio track and select the input. To no avail. Strange as it is working in Garageband

ps! I read that other people had the same issue and got it working by adding logic pro in "Security & Integrity". That box was already ticked in. I un-ticked it, re-ticked it and restarted the computer but Logic does not recognise the piano.
