Bluetooth status icon no longer appears on iPhone screen when Bluetooth is turned on. Apple claims it's because this long-standing feature is not included in iOS 12.1.4. Anyone else notice this glitch?

It's not a glitch. It's an Apple decision. You can view the BT in Control center, but not on the status bar (unless you connect to a BT device. Should be this case, you could see it).

You're welcome.
I always keep my BT on (power comsumption is close to zero), so this design decision didn't hurt me too much.

You can view the bluetooth status in the control center window.
That's what Apple said. Seems like a foolish decision, however. The easiest way to tell if BT is on is if the icon appears. Making the user go look for the status is an unnecessary waste of time, particularly since the icon has been in use automatically for years. Thanks for the reply.
