Games on iCloud
If I remove old games on iCloud will that free up space?

When you mention removing old games, are you referring to data that's being backed up to iCloud? The game data may use space in iCloud, but the actual games/apps would be separate and part of your internal iPhone storage: About backups for iOS devices
If you'd like to prevent iCloud from backing up certain games, you can do so using the "Manage your iCloud Backup" section of this link: Manage your iCloud storage. You'll find some other great recommendations there that may help you to free up a little more storage in iCloud.
