How do I turn off dark mode for Google Chrome?

I updated my MacBook to Mojave several months ago and my laptop has been on dark mode ever since. While all of my apps (Mail, Calendar, Messages, etc.) have been in dark mode, Google Chrome has always stayed lite. I recently "quit" Chrome, and as soon as I opened it again it was in dark mode. I find the appearance unappealing and hard to read and would like to change it back to the mode it was on originally, lite mode. I do not see any options through Chrome itself to change the theme to a "Lite Mode," so I hope there is a solution through my Mac preferences.
