I deleted an application and it's files using appcleaner, but it won't disappear from the dock.
It used to be a damaged file that I had opened before but it wouldn't close. It doesn't show up on terminal, force quit, and using automator couldn't close it. I can't hide the icon or show the application. I've never had this issue before, so please help!

Have you tried restoring the Dock to its default state? If not, consider doing the following:
Type the following in the Terminal:
defaults delete com.apple.dock; killall Dock
Then hit the "return" key.
You may possibly have to reboot after doing that. Then you will have to re-add whatever apps and such you had in there before.

Try resetting the dock with Terminal :
defaults delete com.apple.dock; killall Dock
Caution: This will make the dock like a new system.
You can remove an icon out of the dock by clicking on it and drag it upwards until it disappears. That said, I’m not sure if you have properly deleted the app.
I think you should mention here which app you removed and people on this forum can tell you how to check if all components are cleaned up
