I have an (expensive!) iPhone XS and the keyboard icon for dictation is not missing. Siri is enabled, dictation on the keyboard is enable, I've reset the phone and restarted it. Still no icon. This is a fairly important capability.
Any suggestions??

No, the microphone icon on the keyboard to switch to dictation mode is not present on my Xs and everything is turned on as far as I can tell from the support sites.
For example:
I can not dictate a text message as there is no way to go in to the dictation mode.
i have a brand new 4 day old£1000 XS and the diction does not work, Siri only works when it wants to...I have done everything apart from throw the phone out the window to get this fixed. read all your tip and forums but still nothing works...why does someone at Apple just admit they got it wrong and a bug fix is needed
