Boot Camp(Windows 10) freezes on lock screen.

Has anyone else had trouble with Windows 10 Boot Camp, mainly after putting a MacBook Pro(2018) to sleep and later waking it? Typically, I will open the laptop after an extended period of sleep and I will see the Windows 10 Lock Screen. Then, after attempting to unlock the computer, the screen will prevent me from entering my pin. Often the screen will then go black with the keyboard still lit up, while still not letting me wake/unlock the computer. This is incredibly frustrating seeing as it is a new install of Boot Camp on a brand new computer. (Yes, I followed the instructions and installed properly)

I suspect it might be an issue with the touch bar. Any insight would be much appreciated, thanks.

They will work initially, but will also freeze and lose functionality shortly before the screen re-dims. At that point, I cannot wake the computer no matter what I click/press or if I close and re-open. My only option has been to force restart.

After having sleep and hibernate turned off for several days, the problem has not re-occurred. But I think it's safe to say it's a temporary fix. I want to be able to sleep my mac without having to force restart it every time.

I just removed it from my laptop sleeve on the way back from class and it had been running hot for hours inside, because I turned sleep off.

What are the Power Options -> Advanced Settings -> Processor Maximum and Minimum States set to?

Now do I have to worry about damage from the heat? So, brand new Mac, can't sleep, can't carry in sleeve, probably shouldn't use boot camp.

Sleeves will cause quicker heat build-up. This may be a bit tedious, but can you switch to macOS before you stop using the Mac? It would mean booting back into Windows. You should also consider VM engines, if your Windows work is not CPU/GPU-intensive.

Oh, and as far as I can tell, no way to access BIOS to check the CPU temp.

There are third-party tools that you can use.

I tried disabling hibernate and ran into the same issue almost immediately. I will try disabling sleep as well and let you know if the issue persists. Even if this does correct it though, I obviously still want to be able to sleep the computer while using boot camp. Being a common issue, are there any other known fixes I can try?

(edit: I have the 15 inch Pro)

I have primarily been running Windows 10 on it, but the times I have used MacOS I have had no issues. I am incredibly disappointed in all of this, and expect more from Mac. I need a Windows Dev environment for Visual Studio/.NET and using a VM won't work with the graphics package I currently use. Are you suggesting switching to MAC as an alternative to sleeping the computer? Or just in general? I suppose that's an option, though I'm not a fan of the slight wear and tear of constantly rebooting my computer. I haven't changed the cpu settings at all so the states are defaulted to 5% and 100%, though I can't imagine I'm regularly using any application reaching anywhere near max performance.

This is for testing purposes only, to see the behavior.

This is also for testing purposes. You do not need to make the changes as a long-term solution.

Update: my restart/sleep issues have appeared to go away with subsequent updates. On another note, my Mac has blue screened while running Windows 10(Boot Camp) probably 20-30 times since. Always in the middle of working on something important of course.

If you are going to offer a feature like Boot Camp, you should actually support it, not simply use it to entice people on the fence between Mac/Windows. Just wanted to give that final update and re-iterate my dissappointment in all of this. I have heard these sentiments echoed by countless people in my field and I hope Apple starts supporting Boot Camp properly.
