Again troubles with Apple CarPlay.
The car is Chevrolet Trax 2019, the iPhone we use at the car is iPhone 6 S plus, software version 12.1.2
When using Apple Maps for navigation the sound is barely audible, even though the sound on the phone is set to maximum and the sound on the sound system of the car is set oh high. Which settings should I change?

I don't have an iPhone anymore but perhaps the issues are similar.
I have a Samsung phone that uses Google maps for GPS. Same problem, volume was too low.
Try this, disconnect from CarPlay and go into the settings of Apple Maps. Look for an option to set the volume.
