MacBook Air 2011 OS upgrade from Yosemite?

I have a MacBook Air (13 inch, mid 2011) running on OS X Yosemite.

I tried upgrading to Mojave but cannot via an error message.

Do you recommend High Sierra, Sierra or El Capitan?

thank you

MacBook Air 13", OS X 10.10

Hi - I have the same mac and recently upgraded to High Sierra, for me it has made mine very slow.

High Sierra is the latest your mac can upgrade to but it is at least ( at the moment still supported ).

I came from El Capitan and it worked well but no longer supported.

Would suggest you give High Sierra a try but ENSURING you have a good Time Machine backup to revert back to just incase.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
