"Invert colors" turns on accidentally

As the resident IT guy in our apartment, I'm trying to help my girlfriend with an iPhone problem. Occasionally, when tapping her home screen, the phone will activate the "inverted colors" accessibility option. There is no icon on the home screen for this, or anything I can spot that should cause this. To help, I've added that feature to the Control Center so that it's easier to disable it when it occurs, but that's not a solution. Sometimes it happens multiple times a day, some days not at all. Anyone ever hear of anything like this? iOS 12.1.4 on iPhone 7+.

You might have an accessibility shortcut turned on. It is a feature when you triple click the home button. Go to your settings\general\accessibility\accessibility shortcut. Change the “invert colors” to another short cut you would like to access when you triple click. I use magnifier. Or simply just triple click to toggle off the feature when it invert the colors.
