iPad colours broken

Hi there, so today I was watching a movie on my iPad when all of a sudden the colours inverted. I am aware of the accessibility options but I've gone through all of those, including turning the invert colours on and it doesn't fix anything. I've tried changing the white point reduction and even dropped the iPad a couple times on a soft surface to see if it works but nothing. I put it on a desk before and the colours fixed but a couple of minutes later they went inverted again. Any suggestions?
