OneDrive with passcode enabled

Up until recently I have been able to use a passcode enabled OneDrive on my iPhone. Now I am informed that the passcode is not supported when I use the files app. Is this a bug or no longer supported by the iPhone? A little painful copying files to and from OneDrive and my iPhone. I don't want to reduce the security level of my OneDrive files to accommodate a lack of support.

Has anyone else found this or know how to use a passcode enabled OneDrive on iPhone?

This is a repost from November. Mine worked until then with Face ID. I contacted Apple and they gave me some lame contact Microsoft answer. All my other apps work fine with Face ID.
