Correct Passcode Not Working On My iPhone?!

I'm so confused what's happening right now. I was using my phone as usual, and then all of a sudden opening it up again it said it needed my passcode in order to allow Face ID. Odd but not a problem. I put in my passcode (the same one I have used for years and used literally 20 mins before this) and it says incorrect. I am now locked out of my phone for hours. I have put my passcode in several times. Tried an old passcode. Nothing is working. I had an important event yesterday where I took a lot of images and sent text messages, neither of which have uploaded on my MacBook. I pay for the max Cloud storage every month, so very irritated that they aren't showing up otherwise i would just reset my phone. What the heck is happening?!
