iphone passcode not working

Late this morning the passcode suddenly stopped working on my iPhone XS. It was working fine all morning and has been the same passcode for years but then suddenly stopped working. Face ID was working for a while, but now I need to re-enter my passcode to enable Face ID.


It also isn't disabling my phone despite multiple 'failed' attempts (I am putting in the correct code)


I have no way of knowing when it was last backed up (cant remember if iCloud auto back up is on or not). I use this phone for work as well as personal and ideally need it resolved ASAP

You need to follow the steps in the article below to remove the passcode.


Passcode - If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone or your device is disabled.
