My Canon scanner stopped working ( printing still OK ) - I downloaded a new driver from Canon and the scanner resumed functioning but stopped working again after the mac was turned off or switched users .
I repeated the exercise - same result .
iMac Line (2012 and Later)
FYI The ScanGear file is still in the download file and if I go through the instructions the scanner will function until I close down
How did you install the driver?
I went on the Canon site - found the appropriate model and followed the prompts
I see. Since I don't know where on Canon's site, or for which driver, or what the prompts were, I can't offer any help. Good luck though.
