What is my 4 digit passcode for Apple TV?

We’ve only had this for few months. I’m trying to figure out how to watch a movie we have stored in the MOVIEANYWHERE website. I searched for. Moviesanywhere and app came up. So i figure I should download the app. When I try it asks me for a 4 digit code... I tried my usual codes and nothing works. Is this something what we set up? It doesn’t have a help option. So I am at a loss understanding what I am to do. How can I figure out my passcode!

help please. Poor kid wants to watch a movie.

Then that would be a restriction that was setup on the Apple TV, which then requires a passcode before initiating a download from the App Store.

No, it means restoring the device to factory settings. When someone sets restrictions on the Apple TV it is to block others from accessing specific content, having means for anyone to reset it easily would defeat the purpose.

The only way to reset the passcode is to restore the Apple TV

I just tried the link and sadly this isn’t what I’m referring to. On my Apple TV, I went to download the app and it asked for my 4 digit code. Which I have no idea what that could be. I don’t know if it’s related to iTunes. App Store or even the movie app.

Hmmm so is that a matter of basically unplugging and replugging in? That seems so silly that you can’t do a I forgot or SOMETHING like that. It’s not like Apple TV need top secret security! 😂 Thank you for replying. Appreciate it

Yes and sadly it will ask me for code and I have no clue what it is. I’m shocked too. Since I typically use same numbers. And there isn’t an option to “forgot passcode no help no nothin
