Phone Screen broken, unable to turn off.

I broke the upper screen of my iPhone three days ago, so we can't turn it off (the slide bar is at the top of the screen). What's even worse is that since we cannot unlock the phone (it's suspended now), the alarm keeps ringing and we cannot turn it off. I restarted it over and over but I now just want to turn it off before we repair it. Is there a way to turn off iPhone XS without using the slide bar?

The iPhone XS is also unable to connect to iTunes on Mac.

I tried this several times just now, but no mater how it will always turn on back again. Should I release the button before it turns black?

FYI. I want to turn off the phone, not restart it.
